I'm not sure if I should read, or watch videos with Mallory, it's my first day, so she hasn't shown signs of answering, not sure what she would prefer, what is better for development?
Luminesce: Any activity at all that lends itself to focusing on your tulpa in any way, really. "Focusing on" primarily in the sense of focusing on them as an independent entity, not necessarily just thinking about the idea of them. (EG reading stories of a character your tulpa is based on is barely helpful, while talking directly to your tulpa about something you're reading is very helpful)(edited)

Everything contributes, but the biggest helps to tulpa development are things that specifically involve focusing on their sense of presence.
Well, I guess I'll keep doing what I do regularly but focusing on her, telling her what I'm doing and why I like it maybe, I hope she doesnt mind me explaining hours of chess to her lmao
Luminesce: What's "normal" isn't so important, since believing you're making progress is a self-fulfilling prophecy that actually promotes progress.(edited)
3:38 AM
It's been "normal" in the past for people to frequently doubt and stifle their progress lol, but there's no reason to try and match that
3:38 AM
If we can keep increasing the tulpamancy success rate, that's great
On the topic of intrusive thoughts, I hadn't noticed, but Ive been having a lot less lately, and today only twice or thrice
3:49 AM
Honestly, since I actively tried to be better to actually make a tulpa, my negative went down by a bunch, three months ago when I initially heard of tulpas, I had at least 20 intrusive thoughts per day, and was much worse in other areas, but I tried fixing myself to be able to have a healthy mind for someone else

Although today people told me I'm worrying too much about my tulpa and I should worry about myself
3:51 AM
If it isn't too much of a bother, I'd appreciate if you checked tulpa discussion earlier today to give me your thoughts luminesce
3:52 AM
(I don't know how to link earlier conversations like you do)
Luminesce: I didn't know exactly what to say that others didn't, there(edited)

Tulpas becoming more independent is basically the entire goal of tulpa development, so
4:02 AM
Eventually you shouldn't feel like you're "controlling" or "speaking for" your tulpa at all, that's the main goal of the tulpa development process.
4:03 AM
I would say probably most systems still rely on the active fronter to think of a headmate to "make them active", so there is that, though if you specifically dislike that, it is possible to train your tulpas to become active more often on their own.
4:03 AM
That's a skill most people don't attain just for lack of trying, I'd say.
Well, I should concentrate on current time, I need to stop overthinking the future lol, so I will make a plan as I advance, but it would be really cool if Mallory could be active by herself.
4:13 AM
Thank you for helping me out, I will go to sleep now as it's pretty late, good night !
4:14 AM
I will see my progress tomorrow and come back to ask more lol.
4:17 AM
Ah actually, I'll stay awake a bit more.

To me the most difficult part of tulpamancy is to know how someone would behave, i believe in that regard reading a story about a character your tulpa is based off could be much more helpful that talking to them. Of course you then have to let them act that way for it to get cemented. (Probably by talking to them or wonderlanding)(edited)
Luminesce: I said that because some people get the wrong impression and think a tulpa will just spontaneously pop up one day if they do things like "read to their tulpa" but without holding any actual focus on/intent for their tulpa to be there listening (and maybe wanting to respond)(edited)

That's what the original point of the term "Passive forcing" was made for, to vaguely designate certain activities as "Slightly helpful, but not enough on their own"
(For early tulpa development anyway, established systems are fine just doing "passive"-type activities from then on)(edited)

Yeah, personality forcing is helpful for some people, while others scorn it
Well, i actually dont do personality forcing, so i did never have to think of how they would act. (Destin had a personality concept, but we could already play that concept before he was made)
Well, the character I'm basing Mallory off has a pretty basic personality, and it's not like there is a lot of material about her, only about 2hrs worth, so I don't think it would help much.
@KiTkAT( •̀ .̫ •́ )✧/jk imagine living on AI utopia and one day the server crashes? who is fixing that?
Im joking of course, i dont think the AI would be stupid enough to allow a single point of failure lol.
